This course is
designed for industry and government professionals as an
overview of the EPA, CARB, and SCAQMD air quality regulations
that apply to the permitting process. In addition, the course
will review the regulations that apply to ongoing air quality
compliance for facilities and specific source categories.
Detailed issues such as BACT, Air Toxics, NESHAPS, Health
Risk Assessments, RECLAIM, Title V, and compliance strategy,
will be tied into the permitting process to give clear insight
into the government air agencies involvement and processes.

This course benefits environmental
professionals by providing an in-depth understanding of air
quality permitting and regulatory compliance. Prepares
participants to sit for the South Coast Air Quality Management
District's (SCAQMD) Certified Professional Permitting exam.
Examines the role and responsibilities of air quality management
agencies on federal, state and local levels.
This course was developed to benefit both the business
community and the District, as well as to create opportunities
for those successfully completing the CPP requirements.
This course is approved by the California Air Pollution
Control Officers Association (CAPCOA) and meets the training
requirements of the Air Pollution Permit Streamlining Act
(Health and Safety Code sections 42320-42323; AB 2781).

industry and government as an overview of the California
Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, also known as
AB32. Learn how the agencies are planning to implement
the AB32 legislation and how the implementation of AB32
is changing greenhouse gas emission reporting. Gain the
knowledge you need to understand, plan for, and
implement Climate Protection and AB32 requirements. AB32
specifies reductions of GHG emissions by 2020. Learn how
the goals are determined and how the reductions will be
achieved. Enhance your understanding of topics that
include: the development of the 1990 emission level,
mandatory reporting requirements, preparing a greenhouse
gas inventory, Early Action Measures, market mechanisms,
and how reductions are going to be achieved.
